Sustainability is becoming a hot topic in the academia in recent years. Chinese University of Hong Kong starts The Master of Sustainable Tourism Programme in 2017 and the client needs a distinctive brand for promoting its program in the international stage. The identity design embrace the concept of "Sustanability". A nature-related, yet exciting, colour scheme is selected for the brand. The logo evolved from a circle geometry - which represents both "sustainable cycle" and a "tourist's lens". The logo's geometrical, clean style sits perfectly onto both exciting promotion materials as well as professional documents.
While most of the academic-related websites are clean but boring, the client asks for a site that is more than functional - they have to impress international students and scholars. I designed the website based on the developed identity and the design balances professionalism and innovative design layout that embraces recent trends in the digital design community.
