Nexus of Resonance is a team urban design project, as part of coursework in the Master of Urban Planning Programme, University of Hong Kong. The task is to present a plan of revitalising the Quarry Bay waterfront with appropriate urban design concepts together with graphical presentation.

The basic concept of the design scheme is to create a "Nexus", where nature, the water and people can connect together in the place. "Resonance" is our vision, hoping that the site can provide spaces for interaction between human and nature in a dense urban environment, create synergy and unleash the potential of the underused place. In contrast to geometrical urban settings, our design uses fluid, organic forms to create pockets of nature and nodes for visitors. We bring greeneries from the hillside nearby and water from the shoreline into the site. With a wide range of terrains and abundant pedestrian connections, visitors can have a fruitful experience walking around the site. Vibrant colours and gradients are used in the graphical presentation to provide the exciting vibe of the proposed Nexus. A style guide demonstrates the idea evolvement from urban design principles to graphical languages.
